Tomorrow, September 3rd, is the first Freddie for a Day. The hair brained scheme dreamed up by our ‘Ed Liz Swanton has turned into a full blown fundraising initiative and we are thrilled by the way it has been received by fans, supporters and the press. This is an exciting moment for the Mercury Phoenix Trust and we are looking forward to what tomorrow holds. All sorts of people will be dressing as Freddie, from Queen manager Jim Beach at the opening night of We Will Rock You in Utrecht to presenter Matthew Wright on the Channel Five show The Wright Stuff.

Don’t forget to send us photos of you and your mates in your Freddie costumes. Email a maximum of three photos to ffad@mercuryphoenixtrust.com to participate in the Freddie for a Day competition. There are two exclusive prizes to be won: The ‘Diana Moseley Prize for Best Costume’ and the ‘Freddie in Most Original Location Prize’. The two winners will each receive an exclusive dated and personalised Freddie for a Day golden CD of Freddie’s Greatest Hits. We will also be putting a selection of the best photos up on www.freddieforaday.com. The deadline for entering the competition is Friday 10th September.
