Yesterday morning, Sunday 17th June, the legendary Queen drummer Roger Taylor made a surprise appearance on the streets of London - on a guided pub tour - all to raise money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust.
Roger and friends, including comedian Paul Whitehouse, took in several pubs including The Harp, The Coal Hole and The Lamb and Flag. The walk pulled in large crowds of bystanders and well wishers.
The walk was arranged as part of the Freddie For A Day campaign which encourages people to dress as Freddie for one day to raise sponsorship money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Last year The Savoy London played host to a party which marked what would have been Freddie's 65th Birthday, it also acted as the focal point for the 2011 Freddie For A Day Campaign. The likes of Russell Brand, Princesses Beatrice & Eugenie, Ben Elton, Chris Evans, Jeff Beck and Stephen Fry all attended (and most of them sported an iconic Freddie moustache!)
