On Friday, September 3rd, Triangle Area musicians are joining together to celebrate Freddie For A Day and raise funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

The evening’s celebrations will feature Triangle Area musicians performing the songs of Queen in stripped down arrangements. Scheduled to perform are Birds & Arrows, Reese McHenry (Dirty Little Heaters), Stevie Murtaugh (Transportation), Rich & Mimi McLaughlin (The Pneurotics), The Alcazar Hotel, Norm Underwood (Fantastico!), New Town Drunks, Stu Cole (Squirrel Nut Zippers), Griffanzo, the Bopeeps, Jane Francis, Jess Donnell, Radar’s Clowns of Sedation, Hwyl, John Pardue (Puritan Rodeo), Jim Smith, Mara Thomas (Roxotica), Nathan Logan, Burke Hilburn, Simeon, Richard Klecka and more.

Audience and performers are all encouraged to dress like Freddie and have a Freddie day. However, don’t be surprised if other Queen related costumes also make appearances (naked bicycle riders?)

Prizes will be given to the best Freddie costumes at the event.
